Pure Michigan

After becoming engaged in Iceland, Chicago residents Dan and Alissa chose to wed in the bride's hometown with her pastor/father as the officiant. Following the wedding rehearsal and dinner, the couple treated their guests to a bonfire on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan - Pure Michigan at it's finest.

Being an artist and painter, Alissa beautifully illustrated their invitation and other signage; her own original works of art decorated the venue and served as thank you postcards at each place setting. The 1887 Century Club Ballroom, in old town Muskegon, proved the ideal spot for the bohemian inspired dinner party following the wedding.

Long banqueting tables featured runners of moss topped with hundreds of candles in brass and mercury glass along with farmer's market fruits and vegetables, berries and flowers and finished with vintage mis-matched colored goblets. Individual flourless chocolate cakes and cherry crisps were prepared by Alissa's father - one for dessert and one for the road. (Wedding featured on Green Wedding Shoes. Images from T&S Photography.
